MICHELANGELO : Mind of the Master is a large scale introductory film to a once in a life time temporary exhibition being held at the Getty Center in Los Angeles.
Through motion graphics and animation the details and intricacies of Michelangelo's sketches and drawings are brought to life as we journey from his life in Florence through to the creation of some of his greatest pieces of work.
The large 4K projected introduction film uses a range of animation techniques to reveal the beauty and style behind some of the greatest works of art. Stroke reveals, track-matt bleeds, deconstruction and gradient masks.
The camera follows the line work from one image to the next across a large canvas, revealing details and teasing hints of the masterpieces that these sketches will one day become.
